This summer's School of Prophets was attended by close to 700 people from The Living Word Fellowship churches around the world. The conference was marked by a powerful and anointed Word from the Lord that led us into a fresh presentation of our hearts to the Lord.
Throughout the week, in services and gatherings, the Lord spoke to us deeply and practically through the ministry of Gary and Marilyn Hargrave and members of our Apostolic Company. God showed us how jealously He desires the spirit He has made to dwell in each of us (James 4:5). He is determined that we be free from the bondages that keep us from giving our whole selves back to Him as our spiritual service of worship (Rom. 12:1).
Our worship services were strong times of reaching to the Lord, led primarily by young ministries and musicians from churches throughout our fellowship. The anointing to worship carried through the entire week and was expressed in services, in fellowship times, and in an impromptu late-night worship service in the amphitheater. Day-by-day the Word of the Lord kept coming to set the captives free, and our worship and prayer kept growing.
Interspersed with services and gatherings were times of play. Our children's program (The Joshua Generation) met daily for teaching and play. The older ones among them went to a local pool and on a camping trip. The teens, Young Adult School of Prophets (YASP), spent time each day digging into the Word to find ways to apply it in their daily lives. They also had time to play—taking an all-day trip to a nearby water park, producing an amazing talent show, and just being their crazy selves. For the older adults there were times of fellowship and entertainment in the picnic grounds.
The week culminated with a stellar Fourth of July fireworks show attended by everyone at the conference as well as over a thousand visitors. The show was a tremendous ministry and blessing to the surrounding communities.
On the last day, the Lord directed us to forget what lies behind and press to the mark of our calling in Christ (Phil. 3:13-14). The spiritual impact of this year’s School of Prophets cannot be overstated. Each one received a meeting from the Lord and determined to continue in and expand the grace and enabling that He imparted.
